The City of Fort St. John announced an upcoming closure for the boat launch that takes place during August.
The City of Fort St. John announced that the Charlie Lake Boat Launch will be closed during construction, which is scheduled between Thursday, August 8 and Thursday, August 22.
The boat launch is being extended by crews during the closure to prevent future damage to watercraft, and the boat launch itself. These upgrades have a budget of $210,000, which is funded by the Peace River Agreement according to the City’s website.
There are alternative boat launches at Beatton Provincial Park and Charlie Lake Provincial Parkwhich, which will remain available during the construction.
