The 2025 High on Ice Festival celebrated their 20th year in Fort St. John between February 14-16 at Centennial Park. The community was invited to watch a masterclass on ice sculpting while carvers worked their magic here in the North.

The event included activities for the whole family to enjoy such as the famous ice slides and the little chippers wall, where kids had the chance to experience carving for themselves with real tools.

There was also a firepit for families to stay warm, an Optik installation which is an immersive light and sound experience for families, and a magnificent story walk lined with sculptures based on Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax.

The Optik installation showcased ten 6-foot-tall, gyroscope-inspired structures, each providing a distinct opportunity to generate vibrant, cascading color patterns.

World class carvers are drawn to the Peace every year for their chance to showcase skill and creativity while manipulating ice blocks at this amazing event.
