RCMP continue to investigate the murder of Lance Patterson

As the investigation into the murder of Lance Patterson continues, the police are now asking for the public’s help.

55-year-old Lance Wayne Patterson’s body was found May 9, 2021, close to Clarke Road and Highway 2 In Pouce Coupe, BC.
The BC RCMP North District Major Crime Unit (NDMCU) continues to investigate the homicide and are asking the public for their help. Despite continued investigative efforts, the individual or individuals responsible have not yet been identified.
An emotional plea was made recently by Dana Paterson, Lance’s sister, encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
"Questions like who and why haunt us every day,” says Dana Patterson. “Lance was a son, a father, and my only sibling. No one deserves to die the way Lance did. We know that someone has information about Lance's murder. Please do the right thing and come forward."
According to the media release Investigators are looking for information about Lance’s activities in the days before his death, as well as any details related to his 2003 black Mercury Marauder.
Dashcam footage from Highway 2 near Clark Road, captured during the late evening of May 8 and the early morning of May 9, 2021, may be crucial in moving the investigation forward according to the release.
"We believe there are individuals who know critical details about Lance’s death,” states Sgt. Chad Mereski of the NDMCU. “This information, no matter how small it may seem, could be the key to moving this investigation forward. We urge those with knowledge to come forward and help us bring justice for Lance and his family.”
