Local RCMP attempting to reunite survey equipment with its rightful owner

On September 3, 2024, at around 10:30 AM, the Fort St. John RCMP were notified about some abandoned surveying equipment located near the intersection of West Bypass Road and 244 Road (West Bypass and Rose Prairie Road) in Fort St. John, BC.

 

Local RCMP arrived at the scene and retrieved two cases of what seemed to be commercial surveying equipment, along with an aluminum post that might have been either abandoned or hidden after being stolen.


There were no reports made before or after this incident that matched the description of the equipment.


According to the media release individuals should be ready to provide details about the brand and color of the equipment, any distinctive features, a receipt, serial numbers, or a photo of yourself using the equipment.
