The Kelly Lake Transfer Station (waste disposal site) has been temporarily closed by the Peace River Regional District (PRRD) regarding safety concerns caused by theft, while they seek the public’s input on enhancing safety and security.
The Regional District has launched a survey for the residents to share their ideas regarding the security of the Kelly Lake Transfer Station, which opened on May 2 and goes on until May 15. The survey is an effort to understand how often individuals use the site, the type of disposed waste as well as customer satisfaction with the disposal site’s current location.
Surveys can be filled out at the PRRD office reception in Dawson Creek or completed online, which staff will review and present to the Regional Board on May 30.
