Huskies with a couple of wins last weekend

The Fort St John Huskies started last weekend on home ice, playing the North Peace Navigators on November 29.



The goal scoring started with FSJ Huskie’s Ryan Ungstad, which was assisted by Tanner McCracken and Xavier Burgher.


North Peace Navigators Zacharie Aubin answered with a power play goal, tying the game 1-1.

Late in the first period Ungstad came through again with a shorthanded goal that was assisted by Colby Busche, ending the first period 2-1 Huskies.

Ungstad was the only player to light the lamp in the second period, with a powerplay goal assisted by Ethan Fechter to make the game 3-1 for the Huskies.

There was a lot of high energy in the third period, but only Ryan Bookham of the Fort St. John Huskies was able to put one on the board, assisted by Ryan Ungstad and Connor Cozens to make the final score 4-1 Huskies.

 

The Huskies were on the road the following night in Dawson Creek, playing the Kodiaks at the Memorial Arena on November 30.

First period saw a single goal from Huskies Xavier Burgher, assisted by Ryan Ungstad and Colby Busche, setting the tone and putting the Huskies up a goal to end the first.

The second period saw a couple more goals for the Huskies starting with Parker Fenton, assisted by Grayden Alexander and Connor Cozens. The second goal was scored by Grayden Alexander and assisted by Ryan Bookham, making the game 3-0 for the Huskies.

 

The Huskie’s Xavier Burgher wasn’t done with the scoreboard and lit the lamp early in the third, assisted by Tanner McCracken and Adam Bourgeois to make the game 4-0 for the Huskies.

Late in the third, Huskies Grayden Alexander was able to stack one more goal making it a 5 – 0 game.

With a shutout looming and close to a minute left, Dawson Creek Kodiaks Link Harris put one on the scoreboard to make the game 5 -1 for the Huskies.

 

The Huskies will be in Beaverlodge, Alberta to play the Blades on December 4 and back on Home ice for December 6, at the North Peace Arena.
