The Fort St. John Huskies beat the Dawson Creek Kodiaks for their home opener on October 5.
The Fort St John Huskies were making the North Peace proud last Saturday night, dominating the Dawson Creek Kodiaks. The Huskies secured an early two goals lead in the first period.
Joey Levesque of the Kodiaks scored a single goal in the second period, making it 2-1 for the Huskies.
Levesque wasn’t done and tied the game 2-2 for the Kodiaks early in the third period, before the Huskies answered back with a couple of their own making it 4-2 for the Huskies.
With the Kodiaks goalie pulled during the final moments of the game, Ryan Bookham was able to get the empty net goal to seal the deal, 5-2 for the Huskies.
The Huskies’ next game is at home on October 12, against the County Of Grande Prairie Wheat Kings.
