The Kraft Hockeyville competition is back, and the North Peace Arena needs your help to bring the NHL and $250,000 to Fort St. John.

More than 335 community rinks across Canada have been nominated for the opportunity to win $250,000 in funding for upgrades, including Fort St. John’s North Peace Arena.
The Fort St. John Huskies and the Fort St. John Senior Flyers hockey teams call this arena home, as well as the Fort St. John Figure Skating Club.
The competition kicked off with the Nomination and Rally phase, which runs from January 1st until March 2nd.
This phase allows communities across Canada to share stories and photos on their website, highlighting why their local arena should be crowned in the 2025 Kraft Hockeyville competition.
The next phase is March 3 – 15, where Judges will review these nominations, tally scores, and select the top 4 finalists.
These finalists then face off in a voting round on April 4, to determine the ultimate winner which will be announced the following day.
Points can be rallied in various ways including 10 points for a video or written submission with a limit of one per person and three points for adding a photo of the arena with a limit of five photos per person.
Single points are also available for an encouraging note directed towards the arena or for reacting with emojis to stories and photos, with a limit of 15 per person.
The grand prize for the event includes $250,000 that can be used for arena upgrades, as well as the opportunity to host an NHL pre-season hockey game.
Three runner-up prizes will also be awarded, which includes $25,000 for arena upgrades.
Over $5.1 million has been awarded to 101 communities across Canada over the 19 years of Kraft Hockeyville, helping to upgrade arenas from coast to coast.
