Writer: T.W. BuckT.W. Buck

The MRI Body Coil has recently arrived in the North Peace, improving diagnostic capabilities.

The MRI Body Coil significantly enhances image quality for areas such as the abdomen, pelvis, hip, rectum, prostate, cervix, and uterus. This advancement increases the likelihood of early malignancy detection, enabling timely treatment options for patients according to a release.

Each year, approximately 3,000 to 3,500 patients will benefit from this MRI Body Coil. By reducing scan times by up to 25%, it allows patients to spend less time on the table while still receiving high-quality imaging.

Additionally, it can scan the abdomen and pelvis simultaneously, minimizing the need for patients to return for a follow-up scan.
