The Dawson Creek RCMP were advised on May 6, of a man who is currently wanted by the police near an industrial lot close to the 300 block and 115th Ave in Dawson Creek.

Police quickly arrived on scene, but it’s believed the man had fled before the RCMP arrived.

A subsequent search of the property led local law enforcement to the discovery of 4 rifles of various calibers, 2 handguns, suspected fentanyl, hundreds of pounds of ammunition, and firearm parts.

Police also seized a large amount of fraudulently obtained identification documents such as passports and SIN cards, as well as stolen motorbike, a drone, imitation police gear, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

“We are always pleased to remove illegally obtained firearms, stolen property and drugs off of the streets of Dawson Creek. We applauded the public in noting suspicious activity that does not belong in our community,” said Corporal Uittenbosch.

The local RCMP are still looking for the wanted man and are encouraging the public to reach out to the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700 if they notice any suspicious activity.
