Notorious British Columbian gangster Jarrod Bacon is facing charges related to a shooting in Fort Nelson that left one individual needing medical attention.

41 year old Jarrod Bacon has been charged with aggravated assault in relation to the January 29 shooting, which resulted in one person being hospitalized.

John Chasse, also 41, is facing an assault charge. Both individuals are currently in custody.

Bacon was once a key figure in the Red Scorpions gang and is one of BC’s infamous Bacon Brothers.

On January 31st a news release stated that Northern Rockies RCMP had been called to an incident that took place near the front of a local business.

The next day police confirmed that two individuals had been arrested in connection with a targeted shooting that took place on January 29, in front of a business in the 5000 block of 51st Avenue in Fort Nelson.

One suspect was taken into custody on the evening of January 31 following a traffic stop. Later that night, officers searched a residence in the 4600 block of 49th Avenue in Fort Nelson, where they arrested the second suspect.

Bacon’s brothers have made headlines across BC for more than a decade.

Bacon’s younger brother Jamie plead guilty to conspiracy in the Surrey Six Massacre and was eventually sentenced to 18 years in prison for the incident which took place in 2007, resulting in two innocent people and four gang members being gunned down.

The eldest brother Jonathan was fatally shot outside of a hotel in Kelowna in 2011 where a masked man reportedly sprayed a vehicle the Bacon brother was in with bullets in broad daylight.

Both suspects were remanded in custody.
