10 things to do in the North Peace


1.      Country Dance Lessons at the Pomeroy Sport Centre November 21, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Payment must be made prior to the start of the class. Don't worry if you're attending alone, partners will be available to assist. Just remember to bring your indoor shoes!


2.      Glow Swim at the North Peace Leisure Pool November 22, 7:00pm – 10:00pm.

a fun evening with dimmed lights and glow sticks! No registration is needed, just regular admission fees.


3.      Ladies Aid Charity Auction at the Prespatou School Gym November 23, 6:00pm – 7:00pm.


The events supper starts at 6pm, followed by the bake sale at 6:30 with the live auction beginning at 7pm. New items for donation can be dropped off at the School Gym on the day of the sale.


4.      26th Annual Ladies Day Out Market at the North Peace Secondary School will take place November 23 – 24, from 10am until 4pm.


5.      Dinovember Scavenger Hunts are happening throughout the month of November at the Fort St. John North Peace Museum. Scavenger hunts are included with museum admission, and children aged five and under enter free with an adult!


6.      BINGO at the Curling Club on November 27, 6pm – 9pm. BINGO is held at the FSJ Curling Club every other Wednesday. Doors open at 5:30 and the BINGO will begin at 7pm, with the bonanza numbers being called at 6:30.


7.      Eagle Vision is hosting their 25th Anniversary Open House on November 28, 4pm -7pm at 10703 89 Avenue, Fort St. John. Enjoy snacks, guided tours, and a special screening of an Eagle Vision Historical Documentary on an impressive 80-foot wrap-around immersive LED screen.


8.      Annual Christmas Market November 29, from 4pm until 8pm and November 30, 10am until 4pm. This market will be held at the Pomeroy Hotel and Convention Centre.


9.      The Sleigh All Day Market is being held at the Legion in Fort St. John on November 30, 10am until 3pm.


10.  Annual Old-Fashioned Christmas Tea is an event held at the Fort St. John North Peace Museum on December 4, 11am until 3 pm. Tickets are $12 at the door, and don’t miss out on their door prizes. The community can enjoy tea and coffee, home baked goods and sandwiches while socializing with friends.
